What Color is Your Wedding: Purple Inspiration

For this “What Color is Your Wedding“ we have a sophisticated color, perfect for this fall season: Purple! This color is one of my favorites; it’s the combination of red and blue.  Purple provides the stability of blue and the energy of red, so it’s a good balance for your wedding day, don’t you think?
If you are planning a purple wedding, here are some inspiration pictures of this romantic wedding color.
You can see more pictures in our Pinterest board.

Great ideas, I hope you liked them!
Have a nice week!

Did you miss me?

After exactly three months I'm finally back. I must say that I did miss to write and work on my jewelry, but I also enjoyed every second I had with my daughter and the family who came to visit. Today is actually my daughter's first day at the day care. I'm so nervous! Can't wait to pick her up and see what the daycare lady's comments are.

Anyways, to celebrate that I'm back in the jewelry business I'm having a Sale until Black Friday! That's right it started today and will last for a whole week! All my shop has 10% OFF and for my Facebook Fans Only they will get Free Shipping as well. Don't wait till last minute, if you like something grab it now since I won't be renewing all the listings once the have sold.

So, what's new at Estylo Jewelry? A lot of designs. I've been able to list already a few ones, but still in process of adding more. It will take me a while to add them all since now I'm a mom as well, so make sure to check back regularly to see the new designs I add. Also remember that I do accept custom orders, so if you have anything in mind just message me at estylojewelry@gmail.com

As for the Cufflinks I won't be accepting custom order for a few months. The process of making them is toxic and I don't want my baby to get exposed to that. But I made a lot of cufflinks before I had my girl and I'm adding them to my store. Stop by and check them out: http://estylocufflinks.etsy.com

And I'm not forgetting all the brides. You'll find pearls and crystal designs for your wedding day and also nice designs for your bridesmaids and bridal party. If you're not sure which design you like, send me a picture of the dresses and I'll try to recommend some nice choices.

Ok, that's it for now since I have to get ready to pick up my daughter from the daycare. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and enjoy the Sale!

Easy tips for cleaning your Sterling Silver Jewelry

A few days ago I was looking for a Sterling Silver Necklace that my brother gave me a few years ago. As I took it out of my jewelry box I noticed that some parts were dark and it wasn't looking that nice anymore. Lucky me, I know how to clean my jewelry so it only took me a few minutes and it was looking again as new. But I realized that not everyone know how to care for their jewelry, so here are a few tips for you :)

 Sterling Silver Chalice by Master68UK

First of all, it's important to know that Sterling Silver will always tarnish. It's just a natural effect that will happen for several reasons, like the the contact with your sweat, perfume, oil, food, detergents and humidity among others. That's why it's becoming every day more common to coat Sterling Silver with Rhodium to minimize this tarnishing. Also in order to prevent the fast tarnishing you can do the following:
- Avoid storing Sterling Silver in direct contact with wood, since it can contain coatings that damage your silver.
- Store your Jewelry in air tight Ziploc bags
- Add anti-tarnish strips to your jewelry boxes (you can buy those in many stores)
- When you are cooking or cleaning take off your jewelry to avoid contact with food and detergent. Ammonia will tarnish your jewelry instantly.

The above tips are to prevent fast tarnishing, but what if your jewelry is already tarnished? Here are some tips to clean your items:
- Use Regular White Toothpaste. Rub your jewelry with the paste (not gel) and then rinse with warm water. Make sure to dry it with a cotton fabric. While this form and the next one are very easy and cheap, there are some people who say it's not recommended. So use it at your own risk and only if you have no time for the other options.
- Make a paste of Baking Soda and Water and rub it on your Sterling Silver. Then rinse with warm water and dry with cotton cloth.
- Buy commercial cleaning paste or solution. Normally you only need to submerge it for a few seconds, but make sure to read the instructions first.
- Take to a jewelry and have it professionally cleaned. I recommend this one for more expensive items, since they can also check that your gems or other stones are still secure.

Whichever form of cleaning you use from above, it is a good idea to polish your jewelry after it's clean. That will remove your fingerprints and  add more shine. Use a polishing cloth or  flannel to do that. Also remember that what might be safe for your Silver might not be safe for the stone or gem that is attached, so always check first before using the product.

Just a last reminder. Make sure your jewelry is Sterling Silver and not Plated since cleaning plated jewelry will be different and you can damage your pieces by using products for Sterling.

Hope this is helpful for everyone!

Do you know how to accessorize this Summer?

Finally Summer is officially here! I love the sun and long days. Summer is definitely my favorite season. It's time to go to the beach, have BBQ's, Margaritas, just so many things to do. But remember also to update your wardrobe. Forget about the dark clothes and start using colorful items. A good way (and more affordable) is to change your accessories. Just take any piece of your wardrobe and then finish your outfit adding colorful accessories. Here is an example:

I'm using a white dress and then decided to add some color to it. From top to bottom I'm recommending some items you could use to make your outfit stand out. I searched on Etsy to find similar items to what I use and with which you could copy this outfit.

1. Makeup. For summer season I like shiny colors. I normally don't wear any base in summer. Just apply a bronze or coral color blush, some mascara, a rose or metallic color lip gloss and then focus on your eyes. In my picture I'm using Gold shadow around the eye lid and then enhanced them with a coral color in the bottom half of the eye lids. Here's a recommendation of color I found on Etsy from Orglamix

2. Necklace. Here I'm using a Coral and Pearl Necklace from my Summer collection. I like how it looks with the white dress since it really pops out and is very eye catching. This Necklace is available in my shop

3. Handbag. This is very important. In my picture I'm using a handbag I got from my husband. He brought it from a trip to Cancun. Isn't it gorgeous? I think that the outfit could also look good with something smaller. So I searched and found this beautiful flower clutch from BrianaEdelmanDesigns shop.

4. Earrings and Bracelet. I'm not wearing Earrings in my picture, since I'm allergic. But I would recommend you wear some. The bracelet I have in my pictures is also from my Summer Collection. It is made of red Coral, white Pearls and embellished with a Silver Starfish Charm. It is available in my shop

5. Hair. I recommend to wear it very natural. I like to look very fresh in Summer, so I definitely would say to wear it without too many products. I'm just using it half up without any embellishment but you could use a flower in your hair like the one I found at Nomsa's shop

I hope you like my selection. I will try to post more Summer outfits soon, so remember to come back to see more beautiful items that I will suggest throughout the season.
