Too much cuteness

As I was browsing on Pinterest I just found some of these pictures and thought they are just too cute and I had to share. They just look so gorgeous wearing mommy’s or daddy’s shoes. I remember how I loved to wear my mom’s shoes when I was a kid. Well, not only her shoes, also her jewelry, makeup….I just kept losing so many of her things. I know my daughter is probably going do that soon as well :)

Did you use to do the same when you were a kid?
Have a great week!

Black and White: The Perfect Match

Black and White are the basic colors that we all have in our wardrobe, they will never go out of style and when you combine them, they always look good. They are the perfect match!
Moreover, these contrasting colors are trend for this fall/winter season. Wouldn't it be really cool to wear an outfit that is entirely black and white?

Here are some black and white inspiration outfits, I hope you like them! To see more  visit my pinterest board

I love this ! A white dress  with a small black detail on the neck and the black boots. I think this outfit makes you look casual and elegant.

White top and black bottom may seem quite simple and boring, but as you can see using the right clothes and shoes you can have a great look.

If you think wearing solid black and white can look a little bland, here is another option: Textures! They bring life to your look.

This is a more formal outfit, black and white suiting. You can see 3 outfits with the same style but totally different. Mix and match these contrasting colors and have fun trying different looks!

Black and white prints are so trendy too. Just make sure to scale the print to your frame (smaller for smaller frames, larger for larger frames).

And of course, we can’t forget the shoes and accessories; they embellish whatever we are wearing.  Black and white from head to toe!  J

Perhaps, when we think of a black and white combination the first thing that comes to mind is “boring”. But as you can see, these contrasting colors are anything but boring.  Have fun trying different looks until you find the one for you!

Colored Wedding Shoes?

Lately I’ve seen a trend of wearing colored wedding shoes instead of the traditional white or ivory ones and I think they actually look pretty good. Some use them as their “Something Blue” but others just match it to the theme of their wedding. I think it makes the whole outfit look different. The nice thing about this is that you have a lot more options to choose from, especially if you’re having more than one color as theme of your wedding. Here are some of my findings and you can see more on my Pinterest board:

I absolutely love those shoes! They really stand out with the ivory or white dress. So romantic!

How about this idea. Bride and bridesmaids wearing same shoes. It matches perfectly!
I find this a really cute idea. Bride and groom wearing some colors. The colored socks look awesome.
If you can’t decide about your something blue this might be the perfect answer.

Having a rainbow themed wedding or just love a mix of color? This one is just an awesome idea. Note that the bridesmaids are matching their flower bouquets with their shoes and the bride is wearing the something blue.
A perfect way to match all your accessories with your bouquet. In this option the shoes are same color as the bridal bouquet.
Don’t like the matchy matchy thing? Then just add some contrast. Shoes make a great contrast with the colorful bridal bouquet.
Want to be in sync with the bridesmaids, but not the same? What a great idea to have your shoes the color of your ladies’ dresses.
This is just something really different. I love this look! I think it’s perfect if you want to combine the traditional white classy dress with a country look. Love the boots with the wedding dress.
And lastly for the bride that likes the comfy style. What’s more comfortable than sneakers? The purple Converse shoes are matching her wedding sash.
Anyone here opted for colored wedding shoes? What’s your thinking in this trend?

DIY Makeup Bag

I think a great gift idea for any woman or just for you is a makeup bag, and even better if it’s made by yourself!  This gives an extra value to your gift.
So, I’m going to share with you some DIY makeup bags ideas that I found on the web, and also an extra DIY makeup brush holder, that can be the perfect complement for your makeup bag. You can access the link to the site where you can see the tutorials.

Lined and Zippered

This is one of the easiest to make, it is simple but beautiful. If you are a beginner, you can start with this one.

The envelope style is quick and easy to make.  It’s so cute! It has no zipper, closes with a strip of velcro and has a decorative button.

This is one of my favorites, a beautiful boxy mini makeup bag that has the perfect size to use it as your stylish purse or for a party and special event.

A makeup bag with wedge shape looks great too. As you can see in the second picture, you can attach a decorative flower, this will make your makeup bag look gorgeous! Click on the picture to see the tutorial.

Then we have a pleated makeup bag. It has squared off bottom corners which provides a good amount of inside volume and a nice shape.

Finally, here is the extra DIY makeup brush holder as a complement of your cosmetic bag, easy and cute!

They’re all stylish and easy to make, definitely I will try to make mine! Now, all you have to do is select your favorite style, the fabric of your choice and hands on! :)

Take me Away

Even though I love traveling we really haven’t been on a vacation (other than visiting family) for a while. With a toddler (yes, she’s already a toddler!) and a dog, it’s not that easy to find the right place. Also if we add to the busy schedule of my husband and at my office, it just gets complicated and we keep postponing. So, I continue looking at those amazing destinations on Pinterest and think that we just need to take the time to get out on a real vacation soon.

Here are my findings for this week

Picture here

Sardinia is an isle in Italy. It just looks so colorful and inviting for a relaxing trip where you forget about the rest of the world.

Picture here

I think this is Bora Bora, however I’m not sure. I got the picture from Pinterest, but unfortunately it was not linked correctly to the original source. I love the clear water. I can picture myself just sitting there looking at the water and next to me my husband and daughter lying in a hammock…

Photo here

This Picture is from Serbia, however it does not say where exactly. As you can see I’m just trying to get on a warm beach. We live close to the beach, but it’s cold and the water is not clear, so I really want to get to a different beach where I don’t have to go with a blanket, lol.

Another place without name. I just wonder why people don’t add the info when they pin something. Anyways, I would say this is another spot in Europe. I picture it as a small little town where you just go to be on the beach during the day then go for a dinner sitting outside and stay at a vacation home for a week. Do nothing, just enjoy life.

Another magical place where you can just hide from the rest of the world. I think I would be actually able to be with my dog here, at least that would be nice, so he doesn’t stay alone at home with his “nanny”.

Well, those are the places where I would love to be right now. What’s your favorite travel destination or where are you planning to go on your next trip?

How to Choose the Perfect Necklace For You

Hello everyone!
This is my first blog post collaborating with Estylo Jewelry! I’m so excited to join this team and share tips, ideas and more things with you. I’ve been thinking what to write about and finally decided to share some tips on how to choose the necklace that goes best with you.
One of the best things about wearing the right necklace is that you can highlight your best features and hide  your “not so good” ones.

Bust:

If you have a big bust and want to dissimulate it, don’t wear thick necklaces that fall right at your bustline, this will make it look bigger. Opt for necklaces that leave a little space between the bottom of the jewelry and your neckline. If you are tall, you can wear long and thin necklaces too, on a V neckline.

Otherwise, if you have a small bust you should wear heavy necklaces hanging up to the point where your bustline begins, this will add some extra weight to your bust.

Height:

If you are petite like Vanessa Hudgens, wear long necklaces because they create longer vertical lines, which make you look taller. Avoid short necklaces, wide chokers and collars.

As you can see in the picture, Nicole Kidman is wearing an elegant choker necklace. Thin and tall women can select this kind of necklace that cut the line of the neck and de-emphasize height.

Face shape:

Oval face: If you have an oval face, you are a lucky woman because you can wear all kind of necklaces. As long as you consider the other aspects of your body.

Square face: Wear large round/oval pendants or pearls. It is not advised for square faces to wear chokers or short necklaces because they can make your face look wider.

Round face: To help  elongate your face shape wear medium or long necklaces. Opt for almost any style that goes below your collarbone.

Long face: Think short and delicate, avoid long necklaces because it can make your face look even longer. A good choise are  short necklaces and chokers to balancing your face shape.

I hope these tips can help you find the necklace that best match with you!
