I would think that there is a large amount of women who don't pay attention to what kind of earrings match better to them and just buy whichever type they like. That's totally OK, but if you are wondering what kind of earrings would fit you better, here is a short guide.
If you have a round face like Drew Barrymore, your best option is to use long earrings that makes your face look a little bit longer. See the pictures how she is using long dangle earrings. Also try that they are slim. Another option would be large Hoop Earrings which will also make your cheeks look slimmer.
If your face is more oval shaped avoid using long earrings, try instead filling out your face with shorter earrings. You can use Studs, Chandeliers or Chunky Earrings. An example of a celebrity with oval shaped face is Sarah Jessica Parker.
Women with heart shaped faces look the best with earrings that are small at the top and chunkier at the bottom, like Chandeliers or Hoops with something the bottom. What you need is to add some volume under your cheek bone. Reese Witherspoon is a good example of a heart shapaed face.
Hoop earrings are your best option if you have a square face, also round Studs and Chandelier Earrings. They round shapes will soften your face a little bit. See Demi Moore's picture, she is wearing large hoop earrings which match perfectly to her face.
Remember that your hair style and clothes will also make a difference, but I think this is a good start. Let me know if you have any questions and Have a Great Weekend!!!
I can't believe how long it's been since the last time I posted on my blog. With so many things going on right now in my life, I just hadn't had the time. As many of you might know, my grandmother has been hospitalized for over 6 weeks and last week my dog, Pancho, also got sick and he's hospitalized. This week we have been coming forth and back to Davis, since that's the best veterinary hospital in the area (UC Davis Hospital). Anyways, we're now at the hotel waiting to get news from the doctor and meanwhile I found great Winter Wedding Ideas that I want to share with all of you, since I know many of my followers are Brides.
Ok, I know the tag says Merry Christmas, but I think it would be a nice favor for your winter wedding, just change the tag to your initials, names or to say Thank You!
These candles are another great idea. You can actually make them yourself, just buy the glasses and pour in a tiny bit of jelly wax, then put the pretabbed candle wick inside the glass and push it over the wax leaving it centered. Next you pour the rest of the jelly wax. You can also use gel wax and add some color so that it has this blue look and also some glitter. To adorn the glasses just get some rhinestone figures from a craft store like Jo-Anns or Michaels, they have many shapes and glue them on. And that's it! If you don't have experience with candle making just buy the candles in glasses and just add the rhinestones :)
These Snowflake Spheres will add a nice touch to your wedding decoration. They are available on the same website as the bookmarks and starting at less than $8 each. You can use them in the center in a nice glass plate or around a flower centerpiece.
So, I'm not sure if this is actually the dress or if it's a coat for you to use over your Bridal dress, but it looks amazing! A lot of brides decide to have their wedding outdoors even if it's cold, so this is an excellent option.
I hope you like these ideas and feel free to share some that you find! Remember that you can post your ideas with pictures on my Facebook Fan Page

I'm on my way to Bolivia to visit my family. Unfortunately my grandma is sick, so I will be seeing her before she has a heart surgery. It is a very long way to get from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. I left today at 6 am and will be getting there tomorrow at 8am. Yes, almost 24 hours. Right now I'm at Miami Airport with a connection time of 8 hours, so I decided to write something on my blog. There's really not much to do here and I was just browsing on the internet and Day Dreaming, just a little bit :)
Look at these beautiful homes, who wouldn't dream with them?
Another wonderful view! Picture yourself waking up in the morning on a Saturday and just hear the waves and look out of your window, while still in bed and see the ocean. Just wonderful....
As you can see I like beach homes. But not old ones, just the modern, minimalistic ones. This one has so many windows and it's right next to the water on one side and with a big yard on the other side. Apparently this is in Southern California.
Every dream house needs it's dream kitchen. This one looks very clean and spacious. I like the Isles in kitchens. Now I just need to add someone to clean my mess after I finish cooking :)
Here's another beach house. I think it's just a relaxation room since it only has that comfortable white chair and with the amazing view to the ocean. Finishing the day in that room must be amazing.
And finally, this is how I want it to look from the outside. Lots of palms and illumination. Large white and modern house.
Now I just need to win the lottery!!! Meanwhile I'll keep browsing the internet and wait for my next flight and in just a few more hours I will be with my family and enjoy them for a few days. Have a great week everyone!
This year I would say that we didn't have a real summer her in the Bay Area and now it's already Fall! The strange thing is that now, that the new season already started we just had some very hot days. Can you believe over 100 degrees in some parts of the Bay Area? Well, for me it's been wonderful. I know a lot of people here didn't enjoy it that much, but this weekend we went for a walk to Fisherman's Wharf with my In-laws, who are visiting from Mexico and also to the beach. And even with the warm weather, the beach was a little cold. Most people were using sweaters or covered with blankets. But we still enjoyed it very much.
But now to the Autumn colors. I like how in some regions the plants and woods change so much and you start seeing yellows, reds, oranges and brown everywhere. It's still not like this here, but here are a few cool autumn pictures:
Gorgeous Autumn pictures, right? But this change does not only happen in nature, it's also very noticeable in Fashion. Take a look at these Handmade findings:
A few days ago I was looking for a Sterling Silver Necklace that my brother gave me a few years ago. As I took it out of my jewelry box I noticed that some parts were dark and it wasn't looking that nice anymore. Lucky me, I know how to clean my jewelry so it only took me a few minutes and it was looking again as new. But I realized that not everyone know how to care for their jewelry, so here are a few tips for you :)
First of all, it's important to know that Sterling Silver will always tarnish. It's just a natural effect that will happen for several reasons, like the the contact with your sweat, perfume, oil, food, detergents and humidity among others. That's why it's becoming every day more common to coat Sterling Silver with Rhodium to minimize this tarnishing. Also in order to prevent the fast tarnishing you can do the following:
- Avoid storing Sterling Silver in direct contact with wood, since it can contain coatings that damage your silver.
- Store your Jewelry in air tight Ziploc bags
- Add anti-tarnish strips to your jewelry boxes (you can buy those in many stores)
- When you are cooking or cleaning take off your jewelry to avoid contact with food and detergent. Ammonia will tarnish your jewelry instantly.
The above tips are to prevent fast tarnishing, but what if your jewelry is already tarnished? Here are some tips to clean your items:
- Use Regular White Toothpaste. Rub your jewelry with the paste (not gel) and then rinse with warm water. Make sure to dry it with a cotton fabric. While this form and the next one are very easy and cheap, there are some people who say it's not recommended. So use it at your own risk and only if you have no time for the other options.
- Make a paste of Baking Soda and Water and rub it on your Sterling Silver. Then rinse with warm water and dry with cotton cloth.
- Buy commercial cleaning paste or solution. Normally you only need to submerge it for a few seconds, but make sure to read the instructions first.
- Take to a jewelry and have it professionally cleaned. I recommend this one for more expensive items, since they can also check that your gems or other stones are still secure.
Whichever form of cleaning you use from above, it is a good idea to polish your jewelry after it's clean. That will remove your fingerprints and add more shine. Use a polishing cloth or flannel to do that. Also remember that what might be safe for your Silver might not be safe for the stone or gem that is attached, so always check first before using the product.

Just a last reminder. Make sure your jewelry is Sterling Silver and not Plated since cleaning plated jewelry will be different and you can damage your pieces by using products for Sterling.
